Frequently Asked Questions
Are Joyful Connections services covered by insurance?
Joyful Connections does not directly bill insurance companies for occupational therapy services. Families may use their Health Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts as options for payment. An invoice or "super bill" will be provided, which you may submit to your insurance company and request reimbursement. Payment in full (via Zelle, Apple Pay, check, credit or debit card) is required when services are rendered.

Do you offer sliding scale fees or payment plans?
Yes. Sliding scale fees are offered based on income level. Payment plans may be arranged based on your needs. Please be open and honest about what is feasible for you.
Can you work with my child at school or daycare?
Yes. The Joyful Connections approach includes communication and collaboration with other related service providers, teachers, and caregivers. You will be required to sign a release form prior to the initiation of contact between Joyful Connections and outside agencies.
What methods of payment do you accept?
The client portal allows you to load a credit or debit card that will be encrypted. The fee for service will be debited at the end of the day. Zelle, Apple Pay and personal check are also accepted.
