Are Joyful Connections services covered by insurance?
No, unfortunately, parent mentoring and advocacy are not covered by medical insurance. The good news is, that once you have a parent mentor and advocate on-demand, you always have a "point person" to call on for any questions or advice.
Do you offer sliding scale fees or payment plans?
Yes. Sliding scale fees are offered based on income level. Payment plans can be arranged based on your needs. Please be open and honest about what is feasible for you.
Are services available outside of regular workday hours?
Yes. Afternoon/evening hours on Mondays and Tuesdays are available, as well as Saturday hours.
What is the optimal age (of the child) to get started with Joyful Connections?
Young children between the ages of one and 11 years old benefit most from this family approach.
What if we just want monthly consultations and IFSP/IEP help?
After completion of the intake assessment, you have access to all Joyful Connections services on an "as needed" basis. We are part of your support network and will continue to provide resources, advocacy, and guidance for your family.
Our child is already getting therapy services, does Joyful Connections communicate with the therapist(s) we already have?
Yes! This is a great way to ensure that your team members are all on the same page. Once you sign a release form, we can correspond through written or verbal communication, or attend direct treatment sessions.
Can you work with my child at school or daycare?
Yes. Once you communicate with the provider and make the appointment, release forms must be signed in order for consultation to occur.
What methods of payment do you accept?
The client portal and electronic record system allow you to load a debit card that will be encrypted so that no one else can see more than the last four numbers. The fee for service will be debited at the end of your session. For families who prefer not to use a debit card, you may pay by check or use Apple Pay.
